WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Re:Create coalition today released the following statement as the U.S. House Judiciary Committee continued its national listening tour in Santa Clara, CA as part of the committee’s comprehensive copyright review that began in 2013.
“We are encouraged to see Congress listening to more diverse views at today’s roundtable in Silicon Valley,” said Re:Create spokeswoman Tina Pelkey. “Going forward, we hope the House Judiciary Committee’s listening tour will also incorporate more creators, such as online video artists and fan fiction writers, who represent an important part of the future of the creative community.“
