WASHINGTON — Re:Create Coalition Executive Director Joshua Lamel issued the below statement following House passage of the Hatch Goodlatte Music Modernization Act, which will now go to the President to be signed into law:

“The final terms of the Music Modernization Act reflect the importance of protecting and preserving the public domain and the priority Congress has placed on passing legislation that addresses consumer interests. While it is far from perfect, the bill is a significant improvement to earlier House versions, and we thank Sen. Wyden for his leadership on behalf of consumers, users and music fans everywhere.”
